I primarily work in watercolor, graphite, ink, and pastels. I am mostly self-taught with a lifetime interest in creating, researching, and observing art.

Since retirement as a home designer in 2013, I have been able to pursue this interest much more deeply and have benefitted greatly from local artists who have helped mentor this process. In the last decade of more “serious” focus, I have found a voice and am excited at the opportunity to expand-wherever that may lead.

We live in rural Central WI, in the Town of New Hope. We built our house almost completely ourselves, from clearing the land, foundation work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, finish trim work and furniture.... by 2021 we can say it is nearly finished!  We are avid vegetable and landscape gardeners, fortunate to have a site with hilly, terrain, rock outcrops, and a mature woods of hardwoods and white pine with which to work. We are "bushwhacker" cross country skiers in nearby natural areas, lake swimmers, and Ice Age Trail hikers.
